Tryouts

Parents and players should sign up for the tryout that aligns with their USAV age. You can find this age by using the chart supplied by the OVR. Some players age and grade level may  not be traditional. In that case, please sign up at the age you wish to tryout for but let the staff know so we can flag your registration as being eligible for both grade level and usav age teams.

Attending tryouts with your age group and peers is extremely important. Most teams are picked at the main tryout.

For 14-18s this would be in the summer. For 11-13's this would be in the fall. We may leave a few spots open if we know we have players coming to a make up tryout, but we highly suggest you make the main tryout. This gives players their best chance to be evaluated with their peers and to be placed appropriately.

If you can not make tryouts let us know immediately. You should still sign up as though you could attend, or sign up for a make up tryout if one is available. We will work with you to figure out a make up date. Please do NOT call or email us a day before the tryouts and ask us to hold another tryout because you missed sign ups or you weren't able to make any of the sessions or you simply forgot. Tryouts are expensive and time consuming and we only hold as many tryouts as we need.  We're asking almost every coach in our club to come in to help evaluate players, and we are not able to hold multiple tryouts as much as we would love to have more tryouts.

3. Tryout fee should be sent in

4. OVR Tryout membership or existing membership for those who played club the prior season.

You will need all these items to be considered fully registered. Once you are complete you will receive an email from the staff letting you know we have everything. If you do NOT receive an email, that means you are missing something.

At our club we offer both regional teams who travel in a 1-3 hour one day radius, and travel teams who compete in multi-day events and qualifiers.

Truth be told...We don't get too deep into titles and names. We feel that the quality of the schedule is what is really important.  Some of our top teams may be regional, but they are competing on a constant basis with American and National teams when attending convention center events. Teams attending MEQs or JVA World Challenge or President Cups are competing with high caliber teams every day.

Look at our schedules, our team structures, our coaching styles, and determine if our club is the right fit for you.

We believe in players executing the game properly. Everyone in our club will learn footwork, base to defense, free ball plays and more.  Our athletes are almost all multi-sport athletes and we work hard to give teams competitive schedules as well as allowing them to continue competing for their schools.
