Our History
What is Club Gold's
Mission and Vision?
At Club Gold, our purpose is to grow the game of volleyball as well as offer multiple different levels of competitive volleyball to the athletes in our area.
We love to win, but we also love to hear people say what was most important besides winning was the improvement they saw and the relationships they made during season. We want your club experience to be a core memory that sticks with our athletes as they age into college or their next phase of life.
We offer highly competitive teams who travel and are looking to play in college as well as local regional teams whose goal is to also be competitive but do not wish to travel as much.
We want our kids to learn the right way, to understand the game, and are always striving to see the bigger picture. We believe in the long game. Building a foundation that's strong has yielded us much success with our older teams. Winning , but not learning the game, isn't what we want.
To be a student of the game, to understand strategy and why coaches do what we do, that is our goal. We believe in time, as the athletes grow, this makes them much stronger volleyball players. We want our kids to go back to their school sports and shine due to the skills they've learned. We want to see them move confidently on the court playing the sport they love.
Although we can't keep every athlete who trys out, we do try and keep as many teams as we can properly coach and manage. We ask that if you join us as a new member, give us a year or two. We love getting to know our players and their families and seeing where they fit best at. That can't always happen in a year. We want to give you a season you feel is worth the cost, but we ask that families give us that same respect and energy.
As one of the lowest priced clubs in the area, we understand fees can be a factor when deciding whether to play club sports. We work hard to keep our fees as low as possible, only raising them every few years when we truly need to. This means we may not have the flash and the bells and whistles others are able to offer, but we try to do the most we can with the fees that are collected. These fees mostly go into gym time, tournaments, and coaching. They may also go to a piece of equipment for practices, or an extra tournaments or more specialized sessions.
As you consider where to try out, do your research and find the club that best suits your needs. If that is us, we look forward to seeing you at tryouts!
